Senior Digital Strategist

What We’re Looking For

What You Do Well

  • Develop audience-led strategies that connect client objectives to channel, message, and creative approach
  • Lead discovery and research — synthesizing audience data, polling, social listening, and competitive intelligence into clear strategic direction
  • Write sharp, well-reasoned strategy documents, briefs, and presentations that give creative and media teams something real to work with
  • Provide strategic oversight on paid media channel mix and campaign planning, in close collaboration with the Paid Media team
  • Build campaign measurement frameworks that define what success looks like before a campaign launches — not just after
  • Lead client-facing strategy presentations with confidence, and defend recommendations clearly and without jargon
  • Contribute to new business pitches and RFP submissions with strategic thinking that sets CC apart
  • Stay current on platform trends, audience behaviour, and the evolving digital landscape — and bring that thinking proactively to clients and internal teams
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, audience analysis, and insight development — and push the team to work smarter across the board
  • Mentor junior strategists and contribute to raising the quality of strategic thinking across the agency

Your Skills

  • Deep experience developing digital and integrated campaign strategies across social, digital, and content channels
  • Strong research and analytical skills — you know how to find the insight that changes the brief, not just confirms it
  • A working understanding of paid media — including channel planning, audience targeting, and performance measurement — sufficient to provide strategic oversight and collaborate meaningfully with media specialists
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; you can distill complex thinking into a clear, compelling narrative for senior clients
  • Experience working on advocacy, public affairs, purpose-driven brands, or politically adjacent campaigns is a significant asset
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate research, audience analysis, and strategic development — and curious about where the technology is headed
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic workstreams simultaneously across different clients and sectors
  • Confidence working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where the brief sometimes arrives incomplete
  • Experience contributing to new business development — pitches, proposals, and RFPs
